Highlights: January 22, 2016

Enhancements

  • Provider Portal Administration  Prohibit late and early check-in’s setting can now be set per location and for appointments within a set time period or for the entire day. 
  • Provider Portal  Payment reports will now display the alternate patient ID for clients who utilize alternate patient ID’s. 
  • Provider Portal  Clients utilizing the Swipe and Hold function will now be able to export to easily determine which patients have agreed/disagreed.   
  • Provider Portal  Appointment searches can now be filtered based on insurance, so that specific payers can be searched.  

Bug Fixes

  • Integration Athena  Error messages for canceled or checked-in appointments have been resolved.  
  • Kiosk  Error messages when before payment screen have been resolved.
  • Kiosk  Scan insurance screen now displays the member number instead of "[ID]".   
  • Provider Portal  Patient demographic and insurance information is now displayed on printable custom forms exported to PDF

Highlights: January 07, 2016

Enhancements

  • Insurance Eligibility - Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rule changes to data encryption and authentication (CMS Authentication Standards Version 1.3) have been implemented and are HIPAA compliant.  
  • Kiosk - Static instructions for scanning Driver’s License and Insurance Cards have been updated to reduce confusion over orientation of cards. 
  • Provider Portal - Expirations can now be set for tasks, i.e. tasks can be set to appear annually, monthly, every visit, or only once.
  • Provider Portal Administration  When Check In All Appointments For Current Day setting is enabled and a patient arrives early/late for one appointment, the option of allowing/disallowing check in for remaining appointments is now available. 

Bug Fixes

  • Integration - Instances of incorrect patient tracking status changes (when the changes occur with little time in between) have been resolved.  
  • Kiosk -Patients that ‘Prefer Not to Answer’ built-in fields will not be asked again on subsequent visits when using Express Check In. 
  • Provider Portal Administration - Editing rules on Custom Fields for Reason for Visit will show current selections while in edit mode.
  • Provider Portal - Error upon saving new appointment notes has been resolved.

Enhancements

  • Provider Portal 3.0 - Setting can be turned on to display "Patient Declined To Answer" for the email question on the kiosk and will not be asked at next visit
  • Provider Portal 3.0 - Patient account numbers generated by PMS will be attached to patient record in Clearwave as an "Alternate Patient ID"
  • Provider Portal 3.0 - "Alternate Patient ID's" can be searched using the Patient Search page in Clearwave's portal
  • Integration - Driver's License images sent outbound will be pulled from the last visit
  • Kiosk - Swipe and Hold consent and swipe prompt will not appear if patient has no total balance due

Bug Fixes

  • Provider Portal - Demographics flag will not be triggered in the portal when zip code is updated with suffix
  • Integration - When adding/editing custom fields in Athena settings, these changes will be saved and mapping will not be deleted
  • Payment Processing - When Swipe and Hold and Payment Processing is enabled, only one email receipt will be sent to the patient with the total amount paid
  • Kiosk - When updating insurance at the kiosk, but not scanning a new card, the old card image will be removed from the patient record

  • Provider Portal 3.0 - Custom Forms have been reformatted to show the same format the patient sees on the kiosk
  • Provider Portal 3.0 - Walk-in appointments will be updated with current-day visit information if the appointment ID does not match to an existing appointment in Clearwave 
  • Kiosk 3.0 - Reason For Visit kiosk setting "Check-In As Walk-In" will treat the check-in as a walk-in, ignoring appointments scheduled for that day
  • Kiosk 3.0 - Option available to display the amount owed to the patient at the kiosk for a Swipe and Hold, without charging the patient at that current time

Bug Fixes

  • Provider Portal 3.0 - Insurance information updated for an appointment will only affect future appointments, all information on past appointments will be preserved
  • Provider Portal 3.0 - Printable Custom Forms that contain a disabled custom form will not produce a 500 error 
  • Eligibility - Group descriptions (i.e. Emory University) will be displayed with the group number in the eligibility details
  • Eligibility - Kaiser (GA) Copay logic has been improved to display the most accurate information
  • Kiosk 3.0 - OCR on scanners has been updated to pull full address from patient's licenses, instead of just the zip code

Bug Fixes

  • Integration - Primary (Home) Phone has been fixed to update Patient Home Phone and Emergency Contact Phone will update Emergency Contact Home Phone
  • Payment - If Swipe and Hold is enabled, and the patient owes a balance, but disagrees to the Swipe and Hold consent and does not pay at the kiosk, the balance will still be displayed in the payment icon in the Clearwave portal
  • Kiosk - Swipe and Hold consent will display before payment can be made
  • Eligibility - If the gender is "unknown", Clearwave will not send that information to the payer to avoid rejection of eligibility request
  • Eligibility - BCBSSC copay logic has been fixed to display correct copay for Primary Care Provider
