New Features
- Ability to configure copay identification per Provider’s participation in a plan. This allows Clearwave to select the appropriate tiered copay for your facility to collect at the kiosk.
- Specific service type code eligibility requests can now be performed with the Payer Name as a configurable setting. This allows for more specific benefit responses when insurance companies respond uniquely to different service type codes.
- Driver’s License and Insurance Card images can now be set to only send to the PMS/EHR once for multiple appointments. Historically, the same set of scanned images would be sent for each scheduled appointment for the day. This can reduce the number of image files stored in the PMS/EHR.
- Persian Farsi has been added as an additional language available at the kiosk.
- Staff Education and Patient Education materials are now available in the Help/Support/Report A Problem menu within the Provider Portal. These files and videos can be leveraged to train and educate staff and patients.
- A Task can now be generated to indicate that a Driver’s License scan at the kiosk failed to OCR the front of the card and failed to read the barcode on the back of the card. Failure of these steps generally indicate the patient either scanned the wrong card or failed to place a card on the scanner.
- Data for Custom Field Answers, Date Modified, and Answered on this Visit are available to be exported using the Visit Search. This allows for more advanced analysis of custom field usage.
- Medicare eligibility verification no longer requires Gender as a required field.
- Specific Payer Names can now be configured to never collect a Copay.
- A configuration to control when to send eligibility benefit details (new results or cached results) via integration to a PMS is now available.
- The Self Pay Service Fee amount has been included as a data column in the Payments Report.
- For athenahealth customers: Signature Name, Signer Relationship to Patient ID, and Reason Patient Unable to Sign fields are now part of the Privacy Information integration from Clearwave to athenahealth.
- Delaware Medicaid: Additional logic has been added to more accurately locate Other Payer on File information.
- Regence BCBS: Copay identification for the Occupational Therapy service type code has been enhanced to more accurately collect the amount.
- United Healthcare: Enhanced logic to identify Copay more accurately.
- Health Net West: Enhanced logic to identify Copay more accurately.
- Health Net National: Enhanced logic to identify Copay more accurately.
- Failed kiosk check-ins that are completely checked-in by a user in the Provider Portal will now have kiosk session data available in the visit’s kiosk Step Recorder.
- Merged patient records will now display the most recently provided responses to custom fields from either merged record to the surviving patient record. This guarantees that the most recent data is carried forward for merged patients.
- Text, punctuation, and formatting have been updated on multiple languages.
- The speed and display of the Reports Dashboard have been optimized.
- The display of Printable Custom Forms has been improved to remove markdown language formatting.
- Driver’s License and Insurance Card scan screens on the kiosk have updated text to better instruct the patient how to scan their cards.
- The Thank You screen on the kiosk can now display both the Time and/or the Appointment Provider’s name of the appointment that has been checked in.
- Reason for Visit selections that create a walk-in visit are no longer checking in scheduled appointments when the organization has the “Check In Multiple Appointments as Individual Visits” setting enabled.
- Walk-In visits will not be created anymore due to conflicts with Appointment Location Override settings.
- Errors will no longer appear during the insurance card scanning screen on the kiosk.
- Appointment Status filter now displays appointments that apply to the “Late/No Show” category.
- Erroneous displays of the Demographics Changed at Kiosk Flag showing no actual changes will no longer appear on the Visits Page.
- For Greenway PrimeSuite customers: Errors occurring during the Patient Demographics Update integration call have been resolved.
